Haydon Pinhey – Back on the Baize after a Break

Player of the month for May 2015 is WEBSF Plymouth protégé Haydon Pinhey. Haydon started playing in WEBSF tournaments in 2005 as a Bronze Waistcoat player. Since then he has been a regular feature at WEBSF tournaments…..often a winner. He is the current West of England Open Snooker Champion, WEBSF Silver Waistcoat Champion and is leading the WEBSF Prize Money Rankings. Locally, he continues to bag numerous trophies, this year winning six out of seven finals in the Plymouth leagues.

This season Haydon was due to compete in Q-School. However, a fractured elbow whilst playing football saw him side-lined from snooker for a few weeks while it mended. The disruption to practice in preparation for Q-School was significantly dented and he made the difficult decision to withdraw. No doubt next year he will be an even stronger contender.
