The Tredegar Potter

Welsh international and protegé from Tredegar is our player of the month. Liam came through a small but quality field of under 17’s to win the West of England Bronze Open Snooker Championship at Jesters Snooker Hall, Swindon in early October of this season. At just 10 years old Liam shows a great deal of promise for the future.

Liam started playing competitive snooker from the Red Triangle snooker club in Cross Keys, he now plays at two times World Champion Mark Williams’ Snooker Club, Tredegar where he practices as often as he can. Liam is fortunate to attend the Lee Walker Snooker Academy on Saturday mornings where he sometimes has the opportunity to play against former professional Darren Morgan. As with many young hopefuls Liam’s ambition is to become world champion one day…..I for one would not bet against it!
