Andy Smith from Bewdly, Worcestershire is one of a number of players that travel from outside of the WEBSF catchment area to play in the WEBSF Gold Snooker Series. In the three events Andy has played in he has progressively improved his results. Reaching the last sixteen; the semi-final and in the most recent event, the final where he narrowly lost to former two times Gold Waistcoat Tour winner Andy Neck. Like all players that reside outside of the West of England catchment area, Andy qualifies for Associate membership of the WEBSF, this is open to any amateur player that resides in a region where a similar organisation to the WEBSF is not in place. Andy intends to play is as many Gold Series events as he can this season to hopefully qualify for the Gold Masters at the end of the season. His record in WEBSF events suggest he will be there…
