CHLOE WHITE

WEBSF LADIES OPEN SNOOKER CHAMPION

Ladies Day at the Plaza

28th April 2018

The West of England Billiards & Snooker Foundation (WEBSF) Ladies Open snooker tournament recently took place at the Plaza Snooker Club in Plymouth.  The event attracted female players across Devon, Cornwall, Wiltshire and Hampshire and provided an opportunity for all ages and abilities to participate in this amateur tournament.

After a packed day of superb snooker, Chloe White from Hampshire took the crown to become the WEBSF Ladies Open Snooker Champion for the 2017/18 season.  In a close fought final, White defeated Louise Cordrey from Devon by two frames to one.  In one semi-final match White was able to overcome Devon’s Sophie Gibbs-Nicholls 2:0 and the other semi saw Cordrey clinch a 2:1 victory over Cornwall’s Anita Ivey.

Darren Hall, volunteer Tournament Director said, “It is fantastic to see players coming together from across the region to play in this amateur tournament.  The supportive atmosphere created by the participants was a delight to see as was their level of respect for one another”.

The West of England Billiards & Snooker Foundation is a not-for-profit community group operated by a team of volunteers who hold regular coaching sessions and tournaments across the South West.  If you would like to participate in any of the events or would like to talk to someone about the possibility of volunteering, please contact websf_uk@yahoo.co.uk or visit websfsnooker.com.
