Congratulations to Ian Preece from Newport, Wales who came through Q-School to earn a two year place on the Professional Tour. One of the aims of the WEBSF is to recognize excellence and achievement, to this end the WEBSF awards Ian Life Membership of the WEBSF.

Also worth a mention is Eddie Manning who also did incredibly well and just fell short of the mark. Hopefully he will get invited to some of the professional qualifiers, providing he is not on Gold Waistcoat duties, of course…

Tough luck for the following WEBSF Members, past and present, who did not make it this time: Haydon Pinhey, Tyler Rees, Harvey Chandler, Callum Lloyd, Ben Harrison, Peter Devlin, Paul Norris and Stuart Watson.

Gold Waistcoat Tour Event 6 – Result

Gold Waistcoat Tour Overall Winner - Haydon Pinhey 2015-16
Haydon Pinhey – Gold Tour Champion 2015-16

Haydon Pinhey from Plymouth is the 2016 overall WEBSF Gold Waistcoat Snooker Tour Champion. After great efforts from Eddie Manning and Andy Symons, Haydon was declared champion. This win was one of the closest on record and had to go to count-back when Eddie won the final event. Both players finished on 252 points. However, Haydon took the title by virtue of winning two events to Eddie’s one. Counting back through, just one frame would have reversed the result…..a valiant effort by the break building machine Eddie Manning. Eddiecould yet square the circle if both players get through to the final of the Gold Masters in May. This is where the top 16 ranked players from the tour are invited to compete in a knock-out tournament for £1320 prize money. The event is sponsored by MJH Paving Ltd. and hosted by The Galaxy Centre, Torquay.  Select Gold Waistcoat to see the results for the tour.

Gold Waistcoat Tour Event 6 – Draw

The final Gold Waistcoat event of the season gets underway tomorrow at Top Q Snooker Club, Gloucester. With three players vying for the overall title and a further three for a place in the top sixteen it should make for an exciting finish to the tour. Looking at way the draw has come out I reckon there will be a few that won’t sleep to good tonight!

Don’t be late 09:00 for 09:30 and don’t forget the dress code:

Waistcoat, shirt, dark shoes and trousers. Or single colour polo shirt with a collar, dark shoes and trousers.

No jeans, shorts or trainers
