Don’t miss an evening with ‘The Spaceman’

The WEBSF is pleased to present an evening with snooker professional, Dominic Dale, hosted by Jesters Snooker Hall, Swindon on Saturday 26th May 2018.  This event has been generously sponsored by Totally Reward in order to raise much needed funds to help us sustain our activities as a not-for-profit community group.

The exhibition will mark the end of the 2017-18 Gold Series where the top-16 ranked players will participate in the Gold Masters tournament on the same day.

We would like to welcome all snooker fans, members (past and present), volunteers and supporters to come along and join us in celebrating what promises to be another successful season.

Tickets are on sale from Saturday 17th February.   Under 16’s FREE ADMISSION when accompanied by a paying parent/guardian. For more information about the event and where to purchase tickets, click here. Ticket price includes food and the chance to win playing a frame of snooker against Dominic!

Don’t miss your chance to see one of snooker’s most colourful and charismatic players in action.

Come along and join us in an evening that’s sure to entertain!

Call for help!

For those of you who have been involved with WEBSF for a while, you will be aware of the important work our volunteers do in the community to increase participation in the games of billiards and snooker.  Over the years, we have had the pleasure of working with a diverse section of society and our volunteers have made a huge difference to individuals both on a personal and sporting level.  You may not necessarily be aware that our volunteers also provide a vital lifeline for some of our more vulnerable participants, who can sometimes have complex social and/or health issues.
In order to sustain an organisation such as ours which operates on minimal funds, we rely on membership and small funding applications to help us with some of the hidden costs such as paying for specialist training, improving our resources and developing initiatives to increase participation.  With this in mind and in the run up to the Gold Masters on the 26th May 2018, we will be running a Prize Draw, to raise funds for the work we do across the region.
To encourage people to purchase tickets, we need to acquire a number of prizes.  This is where you can help by signposting us to companies or individuals who might be willing to donate a prize for the draw.  In recognition of their generosity, we would be able to promote the company on our website and on the night of the draw (unless they wish to remain anonymous).
If you have any suggestions, we would be grateful if you could forward the company or individual’s contact details so we may write to them.  Please send their details via direct message to any member of the WEBSF Management Team or email websf_uk@yahoo.co.uk
We are extremely grateful for any help you can give.

WEBSF Member David Del’Boy Church (center of photo) is one of six WDBSA players that will be competing in the WSF Championships at the Dubai World Trade Centre in March – April 2019. The WDBSA events will be played alongside the Seniors event and the World Women’s Snooker Championship. David won his ‘ticket’ by virtue of winning his group in the inaugural Parris Cues Champion of Champions event at the SWSA Gloucester this past weekend. His previous successes can be seen on his website

David is open to learning from a number of avenues and for the past eight months has been the recipient of online coaching and support from one of our WEBSF Volunteer Coaches. David works really hard at his game and is willing to try anything in order to improve. This tenacity and willingness to learn has been a significant factor in his success on the table.

Well Done David and Good Luck in Dubai in the new year.
